The big picture

One pipeline from artist upload to enterprise scale

Lesuto Disco is not just a streaming site or a sync agency. It is a catalog and licensing layer that feeds listeners, commerce content, and platform APIs - with attribution and compliance built in.

Artists supply composition metadata. Disco issues licenseToken proof for commercial use, reports US mechanical and PRO usage, and maintains a registered DMCA agent. Artist Stripe payouts and society remittances are separate ledgers.

How the ecosystem fits together

Who pays artists today?

Phase 1 is free upload and attribution licensing. Listener subscriptions and platform revenue share fund artist payouts when Phase 2 revenue sharing launches.

Where do licenses get issued?

Lesuto Hub merchant flows and the Platform API (POST /licenses) create immutable license rows with licenseToken proof. Browsing on Disco does not issue commercial licenses by itself.

Can listeners buy tracks on Disco?

Not yet. Listeners browse and preview free today. Basic and Pro subscriptions for full streaming are Phase 2.

How is Lesuto Chameleon related?

Lesuto Chameleon is the AI stack for Lesuto.com marketplace discovery. Maestro is the music AI stack for Lesuto Disco. Third-party platforms integrate Disco via the REST API and webhooks, the same surface Chameleon uses for licensing.

What is Maestro?

Maestro analyzes every upload once (BPM, key, mood, embeddings) and powers listener For You shelves, artist AI Studio, and partner catalog enrich. Explore the engine map at /platform/maestro.

Who handles MLC and PRO royalties?

Lesuto Disco tracks society obligations (US mechanical via The MLC and performance via ASCAP, BMI, and others) as platform operator responsibilities. Artist Stripe payouts are a separate ledger. See /trust for the full rights stack.
